Can't you just hear the cat-calls?

Discussing a visit to a strip joint in polite company is typically frowned upon. A burlesque show on the other hand? Now that's hot!

Burlesque culture has taken off over the past few years, with women often flocking to the sultry, sexy shows as much as their male counterparts. One of the groups instrumental in its rising popularity is Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce.

The Las Vegas-based revue has been around for more than seven years, and attracts a celebrity following whenever they perform at their home in the desert, or in Hollywood.

Last year was Chicago's first chance to see what all the buzz was about when they performed at Le Passage, but this weekend, you have another chance. Forty Deuce will perform at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino on Saturday night.

What gives Forty Deuce its extra oomph when compared to other typical burlesque acts is the live band the dancers perform with. The group has now expanded to a six-piece band, including a three-piece horn section for what they're calling a deep groove funk burlesque show. Add that to their Royal Jelly rock 'n roll burlesque show, and you can guarantee it's going to get hot up in there.
