The search for a new DePaul Head Coach is on. The new coach must be able to compete in the Big East, be able to recruit and money apparently won't stop DePaul from getting their man.

DePaul is targeting Pittsburgh’s Jamie Dixon as its first choice for men's basketball head coach, sources tell NBC 5.

Kansas State’s Frank Martin is the University’s second choice, according to the same source.

DePaul would not confirm.

"Our next comment will be when the new coach is named," said a spokesperson.

At a press conference earlier in the day, Athletic Director Jean Lenti-Ponsetto said all the coaches they’re looking at are currently in the NCAA Tournament.

Getting Dixon to Chicago could be price prohibitive for DePaul.

While Lenti-Ponsetto said they’re willing to make their next coach the second or third highest-paid in the Big East Conference, Dixon is under contract with Pitt through 2013. So, we’re talking buyout -- and an annual salary which could exceed two-million.
