There will be plenty of kids in the Chicago area dressing up as Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta this Halloween, but what costume will the hurler don this year?
On Monday, Cubs fans found out the answer to that question in a Twitter post by the star pitcher. After discussing costume ideas with his kids, the pitcher settled on his homage to Jake from State Farm:
Close @JakeStateFarm .... I am dressing up as YOU! #NotAllHerosWearCapes pic.twitter.com/ehBNS40BYg

Naturally, the hurler is wearing khakis and a red shirt, but he will also maintain his prodigious beard, unlike the clean-shaven State Farm pitch man.
While his outfit may not have the same tradition as a Cubs uniform or the same stylish qualities as his mustache-onesie that he wore after his no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers last year, we’re sure that there will be plenty of folks who will emulate Arrieta’s example this Halloween.
