Chicago Art Institute Challenges Cleveland to Get Its Game Face On

Which of these highbrow baseball fans has their pride down to an art?

The Chicago Art Institute threw down a somewhat sophisticated gauntlet Tuesday ahead of the first game of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians in Cleveland.

“We've got our game face on,” Chicago’s Art Institute said on Facebook. “What about you, The Cleveland Museum of Art? Go Chicago Cubs!”

The post featured a famous painting, “Paris Street; Rainy Day,” though somewhat modified. An aristocratic-looking couple stroll the street but their umbrella has been replaced with a Cubs World Series pennant, and “W” flags can be seen flying from buildings in the background.

A lone Cleveland-jersey-clad gentleman trudges through the rain in the background.

The Cleveland Museum of Art responded with their own display of home team pride.

So what do Cubs fans think of Cleveland's response?

"I liked how the Chicago Art Institute cheered better," one Facebook user wrote on the Cleveland Museum of Art's post.
