Justin  B. Patzer, 31 has been charged with felony domestic battery and aggrevated assault. He was caught Tuesday night by the Hammond Police Department. Geneva police had notified authorities in Hammond of the possibility of the suspect being in Indiana .

Police say they were called to Delnor Hospital in the 300 block of Randall Road Tuesday  morning , in reference to a man running through the hospital with a knife. The suspect  had been visiting a relative when he allegedly tried to choke another relative, pulled out a knife and made threats.

Police say the suspect then fled the building in a red vehicle. The hospital was placed on lockdown and searched.

Police say Patzer will be taken to the Lake County Sheriff's Department in Crown Point for an extradition hearing.
