Kane County investigators are looking into a possible student-relationship that may include inappropriate sexual contact and academic fraud.

According to The Daily Herald, court documents show that authorities have obtained search warrants for the smartphones of an 18-year-old male student and a 23-year-old female teacher at Hampshire High School.

The search warrants state that the teacher performed a sex act with the student at least twice late last year and also provided him with answers to a test, the newspaper reported.

The teacher has not been charged with a crime while the investigation is ongoing, but has been placed on administrative leave.

According to the search warrant, the teacher resisted having sex with the student until he was 18.
