Police in northwest suburban Bull Valley found a driver dead inside of a vehicle in a ditch Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded near Ridge and Swarthmore roads for a call of a vehicle in a ditch, Bull Valley police said in a statement. A police spokeswoman said an officer found a 1997 Honda about 20 feet off the roadway, 15 feet below the road’s surface.
A person was found dead in the driver’s seat, police said. Their age or gender was not yet being released Saturday afternoon.
Police said the vehicle was likely driven off the road and into a tree some time in the last 24 hours.
