An Oak Lawn man was charged Monday with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault after allegedly engaging in inappropriate contact with a 93-year-old dementia patient.
Police responded to a battery complaint from employees at Lexington Health Care, located at 14601 John Humphrey Drive in Orland Park, who reported Robert J. Phelan, 56, of 9209 Mayfield, “inappropriately touching” the elderly patient, police said.
Phelan was a certified nurses’ assistant at the facility at the time of the incident, according to police. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 8, 2011.
