    Consider it an unofficial sign of the times for Illinois.

    The Illinois State Police unveiled new gun ban signs for businesses that will not allow guns inside when the concealed-carry law goes into effect next year.

    Some Chicago businesses, like Keefer's Restaurant, have already put up their own versions of the sign to let customers know that weapons are not welcome.

    Chicago's city council approved legislation in September that bans guns in city bars and restaurants that sell liquor.
