Milwaukee Brewery Recalls Bottled Beer Due to Explosion Risk

The brewery is offering customers a full refund

Milwaukee-based Lakefront Brewery has issued a voluntary recall for bottles of its "My Turn Junk" brew due to the risk of an explosion, according to a post on the brewery's Facebook page.

Wild yeast from the cherries used to brew the beer may continue to ferment, and in turn, build up pressure in the bottles, the brewery stated. The beer itself is safe to drink.

Lakefront Brewery is offering a full refund for whoever disposes of their "My Turn Junk" beer. Customers should send a photograph of the bottle's back label, along with their address, to support@lakefrontbrewery.com.

In order to receive a refund, customers must send the picture and information in by Oct. 1.
