Kitten Found In Truck Engine Up For Adoption

The kitten named EB, short for "engine block," is up for adoption through Kane County Animal Control

The kitten who survived a nearly 300-mile journey inside the air cleaner of a semitrailer's engine is looking for a new home.

EB, short for "engine block," is up for adoption through Kane County Animal Control, which received the kitten after her harrowing trip.

Sugar Grove Police found her inside the truck's engine after an officer stopped the truck for an unrelated issue. The driver had started the trip in Tomah, Wis., police said, and was driving for about four hours before he was pulled over.

During the stop, an officer heard meowing coming from the engine. Inside was a black kitten who'd hung on for the duration of the 284-mile trip.

The Associated Press reports EB was treated for ear mites but has no signs of hearing loss.

The kitten is about four months old. If you're interested in adopting her, call Kane County Animal Control.
