Giant German Cruise Ship Holding Hundreds of Passengers Stops in Chicago

Did you see a massive cruise ship docked on Lake Michigan?

The vessel is a German cruise ship with hundreds of passengers taking a tour of the Great Lakes, said Karen Deegan of K D Marine. The ship made its way to the Windy City after an overnight trip from Milwaukee.

The 369 passengers can choose to take a tour of Chicago, which includes a visit to the Skydeck at Willis Tower, Deegan said. There are also 170 crew members aboard the ship.

The ship was supposed to arrive in Chicago on Monday, but it arrived a day late because vessels entering U.S. waters for the first time have to get cleared by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, according to Deegan.

The people aboard the ship actually boarded in Montreal September 6th and will disembark in Montreal September 22.
