Rapper Soulja Boy's friends and family could soon be kissing him through the phone -- while he sits in prison.
The chart-topping MC was cuffed in Atlanta Wednesday at an abandoned house where he and friends were shooting a music video, authorities said Friday.
Cops arrived at the house to check on numerous complaints, causing about half of the 40 people inside the house to flee. A man identified as DeAndre Cortez Way -- Soulja Boy's real name -- returned to the house soon after and told officers he and the group were shooting a video, cops said.
The "Kiss Me Thru the Phone" star was charged with obstruction of justice and released from the Henry County, Ga., jail on bond early Thursday, police said.
Way is also the artist behind hits like "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," the rap blockbuster that started the Soulja Boy "superman" dance craze.
Way's publicist could not be reached for comment.
