At the height of the Iran Hostage Crisis, the CIA smuggled six Americans out of Tehran in a plot that was a movie maker's dream. So naturally, Hollywood's gonna make a movie out of it.

Ben Affleck is in talks to direct "Argo," a film being produced by George Clooney, about former CIA Master of Disguise Tony Mendez and his most daring operation, reported Variety. Mendez smuggled six American's out of Tehran in 1979 by concocting a fake movie production, called "Argo."

We had the pleasure of taking Mendez and his wife Jonna, who also served as the CIA's Master of Disguise, to see "Salt," this past summer (he could look at Angelina Jolie for days on end, she thought it was silly). At the time, he mentioned to us that Clooney held the option to this story, which Mendez recounted in his memoir, "The Master of Disguise: My Secret Life in the CIA."

But according to Variety, "Argo" is based Joshuah Bearmna's 2007 Wired, "How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue Americans from Tehran. In any event, it's a great story and we're stoked for Mr. Mendez.
