Derrick Rose scored 13 points against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night in his first NBA contest since April '12, and say his knee felt fine after the game.
Derrick Rose has waited for this moment for 18 months. Eighteen months of rehabbing a torn ACL after surgery, of studying and shooting, shooting and studying. What else could he do while waiting for this night?
"I think he's gained more confidence," Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Tuesday before the Bulls tipped off the 2013-14 season in Miami. "He made the best of his circumstances."
Rose averaged 30 points a game in the preseason showing off an arsenal of skills-- jump shots, perimeter shooting, three point shots, driving the lane-- and Bulls teammate Carlos Boozer says Rose's point guard skills are better too.
"His passing is precise, his leadership is better, he knows it, " Boozer said. "It's exciting you'll see it."
