Watch: D. Rose Throws Down Tomahawk Jam Off Injured Knee

The Bulls superstar was filmed dunking during the Bulls pre-game shootaround in Detroit

Derrick Rose has mentioned the only thing keeping him off the basketball court is being able to dunk in stride off his surgically repaired left knee. Well, maybe we can check that off the rehab list, putting the former MVP one step closer to his return.

During the pre-game shootaround Sunday at the Palace at Auburn Hills, Rose was filmed throwing down a nasty one-handed tomahawk jam reminiscent of the Rose we knew before the ACL tear and surgery.

Now that he seems to be getting good elevation off his knee, you have to imagine he’s feeling more and more confident with each passing day. Unfortunately, the 2012-13 season is nearing the end and if we do see Rose suit up for the Bulls this season, it may have to be in playoffs.
