IN SESSION: Sheffield's will host an installment of Beer School, this week featuring five brews from New Holland Brewing Company paired with appetizers. Learn about beer styles and flavor profiles from brewery co-founder Brett VanderKamp. 7PM, $25.

EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS: The 20th-annual Polish Film Festival of America continues tonight (through Nov. 23) with screenings at three theaters around town. Two films by director Wieslaw Dabroski will screen at Wicker Park's Gallery Theatre at 7PM, with the director in attendance. Two films will be shown at Park Ridge's Pickwick Theatre at 7PM and 8:45PM with directors Ewa Stankiewicz and Anna Ferens present, and one film will be shown at the Beverly Arts Centre at 7:30PM. Tickets $10-$13.

SOLDIER ON: Commemorate Veteran's Day by attending a reading of "Powder: Writing by Women in the Ranks, From Vietnam to Iraq," a new anthology written by female fighters, at Women and Children First bookstore in Andersonville. 7:30PM, free admission.
