What You're Doing Today (and Tonight): Jan. 25

A hip-hop celebration, a sexy photography session and a pork-and-beer feast

HIP-HOP WON'T STOP: Lakeview's Victory Gardens Biograph Theater hosts the all-day "Winter Block Party for Chicago's Hip-Hop Arts" presented by Chicago Public Radio. There will be an onsite street mural painting by local artist Revise CMW, plus an array of other artwork made by Chicago artists up for sale. Don't miss the Open Mic Academy with live DJ music and poetry at 3PM. 12-5PM, free.

MAKE LOVE TO THE CAMERA: Learn how to pose like a pin-up girl at a photography workshop at Bucktown's G Boutique. You'll take part in a professional session, complete with makeup application, a stylist to perfect your look and an 8 x 10 print you can keep. Consider your Valentine's Day gift bought. 5PM, $95.

WHEN PIGS FLY: Indulge in a special four-course menu paired with Goose Island beers at The Publican in the Fulton Market district tonight. One thing's for sure: You know it's going to be a pork fest. 5-10PM, $45, $20 extra for optional beer pairings.
