Snow has remained to the south and west of Chicago, but it’s wreaking havoc on parts of Northern Illinois.

A Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled in the viewing area, but snow is still causing traffic trouble in numerous spots.

At Pontiac Airport, a wind gust of 41 MPH was measured on Saturday morning according to the National Weather Service. The city itself has seen at least six inches of snow, according to authorities, and parts of Interstate 55 were closed because of multiple accidents due to the hazardous conditions.

Here are some of the other snowfall totals in impacted areas like La Salle, Grundy, Livingston, and Ford counties:

    Campus: 4.5 inches

    Dwight: 2.0 inches

    Fairbury: 6.2 inches

    Flanagan: 11 inches

    Loda: 8 inches

    Long Point: 5.6 inches

    Lostant: 4 inches

    Paxton: 7.5 inches

Winter Weather Advisories for northern counties were cancelled for Saturday as the projected path of the storm slid to the southern portions of the NBC 5 viewing area.
