Several mentions of a meteor streaking across the Midwestern sky hit the Internet early Thursday morning.
The American Meteor Society at one point posted on its website that it was investigating more than 100 reported sightings from people in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Kentucky.

First saw #meteor as reflection in my car window. Turned and there it was. In sky and breaking up for 5 full seconds or more. #lifetimeXP — Bryan Roberts (@Coyoteguy) September 26, 2013
