You’ll want to watch the skies this Fourth of July – and not just for the fireworks.
Much like the forecast for the past several days, scattered showers and storms could dampen the festivities.
Early predictions show thunderstorms are possible throughout the day and into the evening.
Where exactly these storms will pop up remains unclear as of Monday, but the area is under an elevated thunderstorm risk.
The forecast for the holiday follows the predictions for every day this week, including the long holiday weekend.
One thing remains certain – things are going to be hot across the area.
Highs Tuesday are expected to rise into the low- to mid-90s with heat index readings reaching near 100 degrees.
The remainder of the week will likely see highs in the mid- to upper-80s.
