The Chicago area is expected to see another wet weekend.

While last weekend saw a snowstorm that dumped nearly a foot of snow on some locations, this weekend could see rain, freezing rain and possibly some snow showers.

Rain showers are expected to develop overnight and into Saturday morning. The rain will likely grow moderate to heavy at times during the day with a few thunderstorms possible in far southern counties.

Temperature highs will range from near 40 degrees in the north to the low-50s south.

The combination of rain and melting snow could make way for some localized flooding on streams and rivers.

Sunday is expected to stay cloudy with some additional light rain possibly mixing with snow later in the day. Highs are set to stay in the low-40s.
