Unseasonably Cold Temps Remain in Chicago

April showers may bring May flowers, but what about when those showers are snow?

Some areas saw flurries and light snow and showers Wednesday morning as the city grappled with unseasonably cool temperatures and high winds.

Wednesday’s highs were forecast to dip into the low-50s, with temps sitting in the 30s during the early morning hours. The light precipitation was expected to move out of the area during the morning hours.

Wednesday won’t be quite as windy as Tuesday, where wind gusts of up 45 miles per hour had the city under a Wind Advisory for several hours.

The below-average temperatures in the area don’t appear to leave the city anytime soon with highs remaining in the 50s for the rest of the week.

Thursday and Friday morning will see a potential for frost in some areas as a result of the cold.
