Threat for Showers, Storms Continues in Chicago Area Throughout Week

After showers and storms brought heavy rain and hail to parts of the Chicago area Monday, the threat for more wet weather continues Tuesday.

Scattered thunderstorms will likely hit the area again Tuesday afternoon as a cluster of storms in central and southern Wisconsin move into northern Illinois.

The majority of the storms could produce brief but heavy rain, lightning and possibly large hail and damaging winds.

Temperatures highs will stay in the upper-70s and low-80s for the day.

Conditions are expected to dry up by the evening hours but the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms returns later this week.

While Wednesday looks to remain dry, by Thursday morning another chance for unsettled weather moves in, continuing through Friday.
