If you have outdoor plans for later on Saturday, some good news -- the weather will likely cooperate.
Early-morning showers and storms were expected to clear out of the Chicago area, but a lingering shower may pop up in the early afternoon, NBC 5 meteorologist Ginger Zee says.
Temperatures are expected to be a little cooler than average, topping out around 80 in most areas.
Expect to see more clouds than sun throughout the day, Zee says.
Sunday will be the weather winner this weekend with highs in the mid-80s and temperatures starting to approach 90 as we start out the next work week.
