Chicago-Area Snow Totals Reach 5 Inches in Rockford, 4.3 in Woodstock

In total, 2 to 6 inches could fall before the advisory expires at 2 p.m. in the western suburbs, at 4 p.m. closer to Lake Michigan in Chicago and at 9 p.m. in northwest Indiana.

The storm that prompted a Winter Weather Advisory on Monday for the Chicago area dumped 5 inches of snow on Rockford and 4.3 inches on Woodstock with more snow expected to fall throughout the day.

In total, 2 to 6 inches could fall before the advisory expires at 2 p.m. in the western suburbs, at 4 p.m. closer to Lake Michigan in Chicago and at 9 p.m. in northwest Indiana.

At Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, 3.4 inches of snow has fallen, setting a new record for Nov. 11 in the city.
