Snow Showers Expected Friday in Chicago Area

Snow or snow showers are expected to develop later in the afternoon and into the evening with up to an inch possible in some locations

While it’s not looking like Chicago will have a white Christmas this year, there is some snow in the forecast Friday.

As temperature highs dip in the low-30s, with wind chills in the low-20s, conditions will grow cloudy heading into the afternoon. Snow or snow showers are expected to develop later in the afternoon and into the evening with up to an inch possible in some locations.

The snow will move out as skies clear overnight and temperatures reach into the low- to mid-20s.

Saturday looks to stay cold with highs in the upper-20s and low-30s, though things will likely stay sunny and windy.

Things will warm up Sunday as temps rise to near 50 degrees with showers possible overnight.

Highs stay in the 40s for much of next week with a chance for showers Monday and Wednesday.
