Rain, Wind Sweep Through Chicago

Chicago's heat wave ends

Sorry sandals, it's time to swap in sweaters and umbrellas.

Chicago's warm October temperatures began their decline Thursday, as rainy, cool temps moved in to replace them. Temps cooled to highs of 60s and 50s with rain in the forecast for the next few days.

The rain is expected to taper off Thursday night, but some of the clouds and the cooler temperatures will remain.

The sun returns later in the weekend, but cool temperatures follow.

Skies should begin to clear up by Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, but temps drag, reaching highs of 50 degrees.
