National Weather Service Warns of Severe Weather Threat for Indiana

Parts of Indiana could experience damaging wind gusts, large hail and isolated tornadoes

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Indiana.

The outlook was issued because of the possibility of thunderstorms Sunday and the slight chance of severe weather Monday afternoon into early evening as a front pushes through the state.

The weather service said the primary threat in central Indiana will be damaging winds, but large hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible. In northern Indiana the primary concern is damaging wind gusts, while in southern Indiana the concerns are damaging winds and large hail.
