Chicago will be treated to sunshine and stable temperatures in the mid-20s Sunday.
That stability will likely depart in time for the Monday morning commute, when fog and light rain is expected to arrive in much of the Chicago area.
Freezing rain could develop in the northern suburbs.
Monday afternoon will bring with it warmer temperatures -- as high as the 40s -- but that warm up will all but guarantee precipitation.
That rain could turn into snow overnight into Tuesday.
