Cool, Breezy and Wet Weather Moves Into Area

Pack a jacket and an umbrella before leaving the house in the next couple of days.

NBC 5 meteorologist Andy Avalos says a system is passing through the region early Thursday that set off light to moderate rain showers.

The threat of rain will diminish in the early afternoon hours, but overcast skies will keep temperatures below average, especially near the lake. Expect a high of 66 degrees Thursday.

Friday is also looking very Fall-like, with chances of rain in the morning, cloudy skies and a high of 67 degrees.

Saturday looks to be the winner. Expect the weekend to kick off with dry conditions and a high of 72 degrees.

Temperatures increase to the mid-70s on Sunday, but thunderstorms are possible.
