Chicago Area Could See More Storms

Just days after overnight storms left thousands without power, the Chicago area could see another round of severe weather on Thursday, potentially stretching into the evening and overnight hours.

Storms crossed through the southern suburbs around I-57 through early Wednesday evening, while another storm system could move across southern Wisconsin overnight, possibly shifting to impact the Chicago area.

An additional storm system farther west may also move into the Chicago area into Thursday morning, bringing a chance of scattered showers and storms. More thunderstorms that may be severe are possible during the afternoon hours on Thursday. Get the latest stormcast information on NBC 5.

To end the week, Friday temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s, turning cooler and less humid in the afternoon. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be dry, making for a beautiful weekend.
