Filming for Transformers 3 continues in Chicago this weekend, bringing with it the smoke, explosions, fireballs and simulated gunfire for which Hollywood action flicks are known.

Work on the movie will shut down LaSalle from Kinzie to Wacker Drive beginning Friday at 8 pm.

Four CTA bus routes will be briefly detoured: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #124 Navy Pier and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express.

It will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

Also, commuters should expect lane closures on mid-level Wacker Drive between Lake Shore Drive and Lower Michigan Avenue all weekend.

    Other Traffic Snarls:

The city's second-largest street festival is in Boystown.  Northalsted Street Market Days is Saturday and Sunday.  North Halsted Street will be closed to traffic between Belmont and Addison.

In Roscoe Village, the Retro on Roscoe festival will close Roscoe from Damen to Western.

    Plan accordingly.
