Police said a woman was struck Monday morning on a ramp off the Kennedy Expressway.

A woman was struck Monday morning while walking on an inbound I-90/94 ramp at Washington Boulevard, police said.

Illinois State Police said the woman was walking down the ramp at about 10:25 a.m. when she was struck by a truck.

She suffered minor injuries, and Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford told the Chicago Sun-Times it's believed she is a worker. It's not clear why she was walking on the ramp.

Authorities remained on the scene but no lanes were blocked.
