No flights have been cancelled at Midway International Airport

Airlines cancelled more than 85 flights Sunday morning at O’Hare International Airport as wet snow hit the Chicago area.

The snow and rain mixture was forecast to drop about an inch or two on the Chicago area before it tapers off Sunday afternoon.

As of 7:30 a.m., the weather has prompted airlines at O’Hare Airport to cancel more than 85 flights, but other flights were experiencing normal operations, according to the city’s Department of Aviation. There were no flight cancellations or delays at Midway Airport.

Temperatures throughout Sunday afternoon are expected to hover around 30 degrees, but should fall into the mid-to-upper 20s later in the evening.
