Pedestrian Struck By Metra Train in Chicago

The pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition

A Metra train struck a pedestrian Friday morning on Chicago's Near West Side, leaving the victim in critical condition.

The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. and involved an outbound train on the Milwaukee District North line, according to Chicago Tribune.

Trains on the line resumed after temporarily being stopped near Racine Avenue, two blocks from where the incident occurred on Aberdeen Avenue.
