Man Dies After Being Struck by Red Line Train

A 31-year-old Chicago man died early Sunday after being struck by a Chicago Transit Authority train in the city's Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

Authorities said Quinton Davis was hit by a Red Line train at the Argyle stop at about 3 a.m. He was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he later died.

Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said the death was being investigated. It wasn't clear whether Davis jumped or fell into the path of the train.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday at the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
