Five people were injured in an overnight crash on Lake Shore Drive.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 12:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive near Balbo Avenue, according the Chicago Tribune.
Emergency crews arrived and took three people to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and two to Mercy Hospital & Medical Center.
One of the victims was reported in serious-to-critical condition while the remaining victims are listed in fair-to-serious condition, according to the Tribune.
The exact cause of the crash remains unknown.
