A man driving down Lake Shore Drive in Chicago early Wednesday morning was injured when bullets pierced the window of his vehicle, police said.
The driver was on Lake Shore Drive at the Oak Street curve around 1:30 a.m. when his vehicle was shot at by a man in a car next to him, authorities said.
The driver attempted to pull over over at Delaware Street after the shooting, jumping a curb before coming to a stop. His vehicle could be seen with multiple bullet holes and shattered windows.
Chicago Police News Affairs said the 31-year-old driver suffered a graze wound to the elbow.
The victim said he did not know the shooter.
Police said it was not immediately clear why the vehicle was shot at, but they are looking for a man driving a gray Ford Mustang. No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning.
"This is crazy," said Juan Melendez, a doorman who saw the victim's black Dodge Charger jump the curb at Delaware Street after the shooting. "For something to happen like that on Lake Shore Drive, come on."

The incident comes on the heels of a string of recent expressway shootings, with the latest reported on the Dan Ryan Expressway Monday.
Police said a man in his 20s drove himself to Mercy Hospital after being shot on the expressway around 3 a.m. near 31st Street.
Last month, a shooting on the Bishop Ford's Stony Island ramp had the outbound lanes of the freeway closed for several hours during morning rush hour.
