Jermale Dabney Jr. attends Poe Classical School. The first grader earns perfect scores on his math and spelling tests. He dreams of becoming a game show host just like NBC's own Steve Harvey.

Piper Hope is a budding young journalist. The Stellar Student excels in the classroom, plays sports and publishes a biweekly newsletter. Piper has two staff writers and 20 classmates who subscribe to her "Bubly" newsletter.

David Hoch, 18, graduated from West Aurora High School with a 4.5 GPA last Spring. David plans to attend Embry Riddle and major in aeronautical engineering. The teen enjoys playing jazz on his guitar.

Autumn Provine rushes to do her homework every day after school. This Stellar Student is seeing excellent results. Autumn earns A's and B's. Autumn also pledged to swim 60-plus laps for a fundraiser earlier this year. She surpassed her goal and swam 80-plus laps.

Estrella Salgado, 14, attends Argo Community High School in Summit. The teen graduated at the top of her eighth grade class last year. Estrella is an award-winning essay writer.

Kala Epkins-Henderson, 17, attends Trinity High School in River Forest. Kala excels inside the classroom earning stellar grades every semester. She really shines when it comes to art. Kala wants to become an engineer.
