“I Feel Very Optimistic”: Lightfoot Addresses Major Companies Like Boeing and Citadel Leaving Chicago

In the last several months, three large companies have announced they are moving their headquarters out of the Chicago area — and the latest one has cited growing crime in the city as one of the primary reasons for leaving. Mayor Lori Lightfoot, however, said she feels optimistic about the city’s future citing over 173 companies making “pro-Chicago decisions” last year.
