A Chicago Police detective is charged in connection with a fiery crash that left two men dead.

Frugoli has been involved in wrecks before. The Sun-Times reported that he was ordered to pay $7,100 to Joseph Cairo earlier this month, after a jury trial involving a 2005 accident.

Cairo's lawyer, Ben Kelly, said a field sobriety test was never given to Frugoli in that 2005 crash.

When Frugoli was freed on bond Sunday, family and friends of Cazares and Manzera started shouting, calling Frugoli a "criminal" who "should be be in jail."
