River North Resto Serves Up Fast Food for Foodies

Big & Little's dishes are big on flavor, small on price

Fancy Food from a Not-So-Fancy Restaurant

It's kind of a hole in the wall and not exactly where you'd expect to eat foie gras and french fries, but River North's Big & Little's has become quite the spot for foodies in a short time. (Published Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011)

For those into gourmet food but stuck on a fast food budget, here's a tip:  check out Big & Little's in Chicago's River North neighborhood.

It's fast food for foodies.  Think foie gras and fries, soft shell crab po' boys and fish tacos.  They're dishes that are big on flavor but small on price.  Nothing on the menu costs more than $12.

The Chicago Tribune recently released its annual list of Dining Awards, and Big & Little's was recognized as "best cheap eater restaurant of the year."
