The saying "less is more" is fitting in many circumstances, but it doesn't seem to be a philosophy they use over at Jake Melnick's Corner Tap (41 East Superior St.). And that's a good thing, or else we wouldn't be privy to the delectable delights of the Big Daddy Burger.
The 312 Dining Diva alerted us to this big beef behemoth, which is Jake's Burger of the Month. It's only fitting, seeing as Father's Day is in June.
The Big Daddy is a 9 oz. hand-crafted burger stuffed with blue cheese, basted with homemade steak sauce and topped with black peppercorn bacon, horseradish havarti, aioli, lettuce, tomato and crispy onion strings on a pretzel bun.
The burger is paired with a Phin & Matt's Extraordinary Ale and fries for $9.95.
You weren't thinking of taking dad to brunch on Father's Day, were you? We think the Big Daddy may bring a smile to his face instead.
