    Three Reasons to Celebrate
    Sola's tuna poke is one of the options on the special menu celebration the North Side restaurant's birthday.

    In a tough economy and competitive marketplace, many Chicago restaurants are lucky to celebrate a first birthday in business, but a North Side eatery is proudly celebrating three.

    Sola (3868 N. Lincoln) has several events and specials planned this month, including a a birthday celebration on Jan. 26 hosted by Chef Carol Wallack. Wallack is creating a menu with food grouped in 3s, and a five-course beer dinner, all for $60.

    Some of the food trios include a Shellfish Trio, Pork Tip Trio and a Raw Appetizer Trio, all served with a complimentary champagne toast.

    The celebration continues on January 28 with the return of the 5-course beer dinner featuring Bell's Beer.

    Sola is a know for its contemporary American cuisine with an Asian and Hawaiian flair.
