Super Food for the Super Bowl

No Bears in the Bowl, so focus on the food instead

Who is going to win the 2009 Super Bowl? Baltimore? Pittsburgh? Philly? Arizona?  Do we honestly care?  Probably not, which is why it's better to focus on what kind of FOOD you will be serving at your Super Bowl party.  (Let's face it – you know you still want to have a football party even though you had no idea until you read this post who was even in contention to play in the game…  It's all about the commercials, beer and food, after all.)

So to avoid the tired old chili, bacon-wrapped cocktail weenies and nachos of Super Bowl Parties' Past, why not let the comfort food experts provide the eats for you so you can keep the kitchen clean?    Bucktown's Silver Cloud Bar & Grill offers a “Carry ‘Em Out” menu on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.  Orders of their appetizers and entrée items in party-size quantities can be picked up the day before game day, from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and anytime after 9:30 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. Orders can be chilled or hot, depending on your preference for individual items.  Some items include:

Spinach and Artichoke Dip  -- Serves 25-30. $35.95
Blitzing Buffalo Wings  -- . Serves 35-40. $39.95
Sack'em Sloppy Joes served with fresh buns. Serves 12-15. $49.99
4th Quarter Chocolate Layer Cake | Approximately 14-16 slices. $24.95
