Morton's The Steakhouse hosts a midday meal with Chicago sports stars

Morton's The Steakhouse continues its popular "Lunch With a Legend" series on Tuesday, Feb. 24 with Chicago Blackhawks Hall of Famer Denis Savard. Hockey fans and steak conoisseurs alike can sit back and enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe lunch while getting a front row seat for an interview with Savard by the ESPN-1000 Radio team of Waddle & Silvy.

Some highlights of Savard's stellar career: He scored 473 goals and 865 assists during his pro hockey career. His #18 Blackhawks jersey was retired, and he was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2006, he became the Blackhawks head coach, a position he kept for two years. 

Now that you're up to speed with the legend, here's the 411 about the food. The three-course menu includes your choice of baked onion soup, a Caesar's salad or a Morton's signature salad for starters; a choice of prime rib with mashed potatoes, a prime sirloin burger with French fries, chicken "Christopher" with mashed potatoes or broiled salmon for your entree; and cheesecake for dessert. Iced tea and soda are included in the $40 price, and there will be a cash bar.

The "Lunch With a Legend" event with Denis Savard takes place starting at 11AM at the Morton's location at 65 E. Wacker Pl. The ESPN-1000 Radio broadcast begins at 12PM. Reserve your spot by calling 312-201-0464.
