A great bartender is often taken for granted. It's a sympathetic ear when you need one and someone who instinctively knows the perfect liquid prescription for what ails you.
Now it's time to recognize the best of the best in the second season of "On the Rocks: The Search for America's Top Bartender."
The LXTV three-part series follows eight mixologists as they make their way to Las Vegas to battle it out for bragging rights and a $100,000 prize. The contestants battle against each other in a variety of challenges, from creating high-end cocktails to throwing the ultimate party. Each challenge yields a winner and a bartender who gets bounced.
Casting calls will take place in several cities, including Chicago on Sept. 21 at the NBC Tower.
