Sinful Fine Wines and Chocolate

Salute Wine Bar and Vosges Chocolate team up

Cupid’s favorite holiday may be February 14, but you can start celebrating the month of love early at Salute Wine Bar.

On Feb. 9, Vosges Chocolates and Salute are teaming up to present “The 8 Deadly Sins.” From 7-10 p.m., guests can indulge in a seduction of chocolate and wine for $29. What better way to kick off the month?

Guests will experience four bold, sexy wines paired with four of the most sinfully, indulgent chocolate truffles in an informal tasting hosted by Salute’s Sommelier Loren Hall and Vosges’ Head Chocolatier Katie Ozinga.
Choose from two different options, depending on just how seriously you take your chocolate.
For the first option, you can have chocolates presented to you on four different Moroccan platters next to the paired wine on the bar, and you'll also get face time with the sommelier and chocolatier.
Or, you can opt for a more intimate experience and have the server present and describe each pairing at their table.
Either way, you’ll experience wines such as the Spanish La Rioja Tempranillo paired with Chef Pascal (kirsch, a dried Traverse City, Michigan cherry & 65 percent cacao dark chocolate) and the Italian Barolo paired with The Rooster (shaped like an Italian Alp, 66 percent cacao bittersweet chocolate blended with Taleggio cheese, organic walnuts and vanilla bean).
We can’t think of a better way to get in the mood.
