If shots of yore have you frightened of te-kill-ya, it's time to get over it. Quaff the good stuff at Adobo Grill's monthly tequila dinners, this month featuring Tequila El Milagro, a triple-distilled, 100 percent blue agave concoction. Taking place at Adobo Grill's Lombard and Old Town locations, the dinners feature four courses, each paired with a tequila tasting. Yes, even dessert.
Adobo Grill Lombard's Nov. 13 dinner will showcase "La Cocina Yucateca," highlighting seasonal dishes by chef Othon Angel such as achiote-marinated grouper with refried black beans and plantain rice paired with the "Merida on Lombard," a cocktail made with El Milagro Anejo tequila, Passion Alize liqueur and pineapple juice.
The Old Town Adobo Grill will host its tequila dinner on Nov. 20. The theme is "La Temporada de Calabaza," featuring four courses by chef Freddy Sanchez, including adobo-marinated braised beef short ribs with ancho salsa and mashed butternut squash. The entree is paired with "Neto's Martini," which combines Select Barrel El Milagro Reposado tequila, coffee liqueur and cinnamon.
You'll be glad you licked your fears.
